How to Make Good Coffee
Making good coffee is not really very complicated. Even if you are a beginner, your coffee can taste great if you follow few simple fundamentals. We spend a lot of time with the details at Coffee Daydreams, so here are the basics:
- buy freshly roasted gourmet whole coffee beans.
- chose beans that are packaged in an airtight bag with a one-way valve. (It's even better if you buy your beans from the coffee store in your community that roasts beans on premises.)
- Store your beans in an airtight container at home.
- Grind your beans to the right consistency for your coffee maker.
- Get a good quality automatic drip coffee maker, or if you prefer you can use a French press or cone filter.
- Use good tasting water. If you are using a French press or cone filter, be sure to use water that is just below boiling.
- Drink your coffee soon after making it. Don't expect coffee that has sat for 15 minutes on a warming element to taste good.
